27 November 2021

The Uglich State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum in the exhibition halls of the old City Duma presents the exhibition "Thunder of Victory, Hear Out!", timed to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the Russian Empire.

The exhibition features the iconography of Peter: four engravings by different authors and a pictorial portrait of the ruler.

The exhibition also showcases weapons of the era of Catherine the Great, the Patriotic War of 1812, the times of the Russian-Turkish wars. Of course, there are commemorative medals for various events, not only military ones, but, for example, "Medal for the 50th anniversary of service in the fleet of Admiral I. F. Krusenstern".

The Russian Empire ceased to exist in 1917, but before that it participated in the First World War. The exhibition features photographs of those years, postcards, medals, weapons dedicated to this "forgotten" war.

The exhibition is open to the public until January 15, 2022.
