Marking the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia: The Heritage Keepers exhibition opened in Veliky Novgorod

On January 28, 2022 the Museum and Exhibition Center of Novgorod Regional House of Folk Art, marking the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia, is hosting a presentation of the exhibition “The Heritage Keepers”.

For the first time in many years of operation of the institution, amazing, sometimes unique items from the collections of the House of Folk Art are presented in one hall.

The exhibition features the richest expeditionary material collected by the staff of the House of Folk Art, presented both as records on magnetic tape and in handwritten form; one has also an opportunity to see amazing costumes from different eras, both authentic and made according to samples of past centuries; toys and musical instruments, ethnographic rarities, utensils and household items donated to the institution by kind people.

The team of the Novgorod Regional House of Folk Art visually presented the connection between the past and the present, the interweaving of times and events through the objective world, showed how close and understood traditional values ​​can be even to today's digital generation.
