The Nobel encyclopedia will be presented to library of the Russian Academy of Sciences

2nd July, The Nobel encyclopaedia in Russian was given as gift to the Russian Academy of Sciences. The President of Open Company V.S.Lobankov “The Nobel lectures in Russian” handed V.P.Leonov the donative patent on the edition. At ceremony there were members of the government of St.-Petersburg — vice-governor A. J.Manilov and the Chairman of Committee on a science and A.S.Maxim's higher school, representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences — the vice-president of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the chairman of Presidium of the St.-Petersburg Centre of science of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the curator of Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences academician Z.I.Alfyorov and the vice-president of Presidium of the St.-Petersburg Centre of science of the Russian Academy of Sciences corresponding member V.V. Okrepilov and other important guests. The encyclopaedia is the first Russian-speaking collection of lectures and autobiographies of Nobel prize winners in area of physics, chemistry, physiology, medicine, the literature, strengthening of the world and the award of the Swedish bank of Alfred Nobel memory in the sphere of economic sciences from 1901 Academician Z.I.Alfyorov who appeared with congratulations on the occasion of presentation to Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences, has especially underlined value of this edition from the point of view of generalisation of results of XX century discoveries and has expressed hope of continuation of the project concerning winners of this century. Similar actions of donation have already taken place in a number of large libraries of Russia and the near abroad.
