The Presidential library: Memorandum about cooperation of the national libraries of the Russian Federation

The meeting between the General director of the Presidential library A.P. Vershinin, the General director of the Russian state library V.V. Fedorov and the General director of the Russian national library V.N. Zaytsev took place on September 2, 2009. During the meeting there were discussed the issues of cooperation between the national libraries of the Russian Federation in the sphere of library science, using of the potential of the national libraries in the interests of development of the Russian and world culture, culture and education, in cultural heritage disclosure, in state library policy activation, in creating and maintaining of the united information space.

As the result of the meeting the Memorandum about cooperation of the national libraries of the Russian Federation was signed. It was agreed to form a Workgroup to coordinate the cooperation.
