Presidential Library: Memorandum on cooperation between Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library and the Library of Congress signed

In the framework of the Second session of the russian-american Working group on library cooperation Memorandum on cooperation between Boris Yeltsin Presidential library and the Library of Congress was signed.

Memorandum which will become the basis for the further cooperation in the area of information, scientific and technological exchange was signed by the Director-General of the Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library A. P. Vershinin and the Librarian of th Library of Congress Dr. James H. Billington. The participants of the russian-american Working group, invited experts and the Mass Media representatives attended the solemn signing of Memorandum.

The Russian President’s affairs manager V. I. Kozhin presented the Commendation Letter of the President of the Russian Federation to the Librarian of the Library of Congress Dr. James H. Billington and expressed hope for the further development of library science cooperation.
