Russian language abroad: Uzbek children learn Russian language

225 pupils from the city Tashkent, Tashkent, Jizzakh and Syrdaryo provinces of Uzbekistan, children from poor families and orphanages have an opportunity to study in the winter camp of Russian language, which is located in the city Chirchiq (Tashkent province, Uzbekistan).

Among the organizers of the camp are the Embassy of Russia in Uzbekistan, representation of the Federal Agency on the CIS, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (“Rossotrudnichestvo”), “Soghlom Avlod Uchun” ("For a healthy generation") international non-governmental charity foundation, the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. "During 12 days Uzbek children will have a good chance to improve health, get through a thorough medical check-up, get a highly qualified doctor’s help in a sanatorium and boost the knowledge of Russian language. All the expenses are covered by the budget of the Russian Federation", - remarked the press-service’s representative. He stressed that that year for the first time the camp attracted cadets – pupils from schools with a military-patriotic bias. "Every day children study Russian language, attend interest groups and sport sections", - concluded the interlocutor.
