Electronic libraries: “Lipetsk Krai memory” electronic library presentation

“Lipetsk Krai memory” electronic library presentation was held in the Lipetsk Regional Academic Library on February 3, 2011. It includes the editions on local history and some rare editions from the holdings of the Lipetsk Regional Academic library, National Library of Russia, Tambov Regional Academic library, Regional Local History Museum, State Archives of Lipetsk Oblast.

One of the most valuable copies of the electronic library is the “Lipetsk seasonal leaflet” – a periodical on local history. This kind of editions represent the unique chronicle of a regional center life in the second half of 19th – beginning of 20th centuries.

A special feature of the project is that remote users have access not just to bibliographic library databases, but also to the full texts, the rarest local history texts. They are now available on the website of the Lipetsk Regional Academic Library. Valuable historical information will be accessible to everyone who is interested in the culture of his native land.
