Regions of Russia: X Biannual of Graphic Arts “Konigsberg-Kaliningrad 2011” – “Integration and Interaction”

September 15, 2011 Kaliningrad Regional Museum "Art Gallery" opened a jubilee 10th exhibition to summarize the work of this major project.

Integration and interaction - basic foundations of the Kaliningrad Graphics Forums - became the motto of the jubilee X Biennial of Graphic Art of the Baltic Sea.

The new exposition occupied all exhibition halls of the gallery, more than 3 sq m. It features the works by more than 100 graphic artists from nine European countries. Among the guests of the Biennale are famous artists, art critics, art historians of the Baltic region.

Also the Biennale will host a conference on "Graphic Arts. The versatility of forms and functions in the artistic culture of the twentieth century."

During the Biennale will open the exhibition "Silver Age Graphic Arts" featuring the exhibits from the collections of the Omsk Regional Museum of Fine Arts. It included more than 40 works by famous Russian artists: A. N. Benois, L. S. Bakst, I. Ya. Bilibin, N. S. Goncharova, Nicholas Roerich, and others. According to the organizers of the Biennale, since the Art Gallery of Kaliningrad has a collection of classic domestic art, the unique works of Omsk will decorate the international project.
