
Presidential Library: New acquisitions
The Presidential Library continues to publish on its website the materials of the Patriotic War of 1812.
New acquisitions are prepared on the basis of the Fund of 1309 Estates of trustees of the charities ravaged by the enemy in 1812 and in a separate unit, included in the section Help to war veterans and victims.
"The estate of trustees of the charity devastated by the enemy in 1812", it was established in November 1812 to assist the victims of the Patriotic War. It was under the patronage of the Empress Elizabeth Alexeevna. Five trustees headed the "estate": V. P. Kochubei, N. N. Golovin, N. A. Tolstoy, A. S. Shishkov and A. N. Golitsyn. The activities of «estate» were the administration and storage of fees, the petition and issue of allowances. The source of funds to help was voluntary donations from individuals and institutions. On the expenditure of funds "estate" had to report to the Emperor. Benefits are issued mainly to residents of Moscow, Smolensk, Vitebsk, Mogilev, Kaluga, Grodno, Minsk, Courland, Vilnius province and the city of Riga, regardless of social class. Totally, it has been issued 6,364,627 rubles. Having done the main task, according to the decree of August 31 (September 12) 1817, "estate" was closed and the functions transferred to the Commission for parsing the requests.
The collection of RSHA includes 533 cases, which include material on the following issues: the establishment, operation and closure of "estate", donations made to the "estate" by different people, the grant benefits to different individuals (in the provinces), petition for issuing allowances, as well as lists of persons receiving benefits (in alphabetical order). In addition, materials related to the Commission's analysis of petition are placed: the minutes, petitions of various persons to grant benefits (Moscow), lists and scripts to petition for grant.
Today, the web site of the Presidential Library has published around 100 different cases.
Establishment “Estate”
The case of the establishment of Estates to assist the victims of the War in 1812, the letters of different people to donate their money to help the victims, including the letters of the English Consul about dispatch of money from England; correspondence of trustees Estates sent amounts: December 7. 1812 - Aug. 6. 1817 (I. 1) contains documents relating to the establishment of a company to help the victims of the Patriotic War of 1812 and its activities, which is to receive donations, the petition and issue allowances to them: decrees on education society, many correspondence of Trustees of the society and others on the issue of donations and grants.
Session "Estate"
In the journals of the "Estate of trustees of the Charity ravaged by the enemy in 1812": Nov. 1. 1812 - August 23, 1813 (I. 2) are discussed the issues of receiving donations from various people about the petition and issue allowances to them, questions about the preparation and transmission of reports on the activities of the company to government agencies, as well as the harmonization of social activity and interaction with various government organizations and individuals.

Closing of "Estates"
The Case of closing "estates" and reports on its activities on 17 Sep. 1813 - August 7. 1817 (I. 7) contains a general report cards, records, registers and records of income and expenditure of funds by the Company, correspondence of Trustees society with various government and non-governmental organizations and individuals, notes, and the decision to terminate the activities of the society.
