Internet resources: Google has expanded the number of touristic routes on its maps

Google has added to its mapping service Google Earth about 100.000 tourist destinations of the attractions in 200 countries of the world, or about a million users’ photos of places of interest, the company said.

“The guide for tours acts as local guide and offers interesting attractions of nearby places which you visit”, state Google representatives. Routes, offered to users, include three-dimensional objects, the information from the online encyclopedia Wikipedia, as well as users’ photographs, which should create a more complete picture of the object.

Updates are available both in the version Google Earth for desktop computers and mobile versions Android и iOS.

Google has also published new panorama of Grand Canyon – 9.5 thousand panoramic pictures now cover about 120 kilometers of paths and roads. To capture these panoramas the specialists of the company used portable equipment weighing 18 kilograms, which includes the management operating system of 15 lenses.
