
The Presidential Library: New acquisitions
At the Presidential Library web site have been published materials about the Tula governors of the XVIII – early XIX centuries: M. N. Krechetnikov, A. D. Balashov, A. P. Gevlich, P. M. Daragan, N. N. Muravyov-Amursky, received from the Russian State Library, the Russian State Historical Archive, the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library, the K. Krupskaya Moscow Region State Scientific Library, the D. I. Mendeleev Tyumen Regional Library.
Krechetnikov Mikhail Nikitich (1729-1793), the general-in-chief, managing the lands, attached to the Russian Empire in the first and second sections of the Commonwealth, the first governor-general of the Kaluga, Tula, Ryazan, Tver, Pskov governorships.
Historical and biographical essay of I. I. Fedorov Count Mikhail Nikitich Krechetnikov, the first governor-general of reunification with Russia Southwest Territory (1793) (Kamenets-Podolsk, 1893) is dedicated to the centennial of the manifesto of Catherine II on the division of lands of Poland and tells stories about the return of the territories belonging to the Russian state since ancient times, as well as the activity of the first Governor-General of M. N. Krechetnikov.
Materials for the History of Podolsk province: [the Governor-General M. N. Krechetnikov(1791-1793)] (B. M., 1885) contains documents relating to the organization of the territory ceded to Russia after the partition of Poland: the rescript of Empress Catherine II to General M. N. Krechetnikov; an order to the Senate of April 13, 1793 announcing the appointment of M. N. Krechetnikov by Governor-general "areas annexed from Poland" and the introduction of these controls, the decree of the Synod of 13 April 1793 on institution in the Diocese connected provinces; the rescript of the general-in-chief Krechetnikov of April 18, 1793, enclosing the response to its report on the precise and smooth of execution of instructions.

Balashov Alexander Dmitrievich (1770-1837), the first minister of the police of the Russian Empire (1810-1812), while the governor of St. Petersburg (1809-1812), General of Infantry, Adjutant General. Since November 1819 is the Governor of General District, which includes the Voronezh, Orel, Ryazan, Tambov and Tula provinces.

Gevlich Auxentios Pavlovich (1790-1861), privy councilor, served as the Astrakhan (1830-1832), Tula (1832-1833), Orenburg (1835-1840), Simbirsk (1840-1843) governor.
The Case of the award of the Secretary of State in the Council Gevlich appointed governor of Orenburg. May 2, 1834 - April 23, 1835 (RSHA F. 1250. Op. 1. Cases 1830-1846. 5).
Daragan Peter Mikhailovich (1800-1875), lieutenant-general, since 1850 - the military governor of the city of Tula and the Tula civilian governor.
On the pages of Russian antiquities. V. 13. [№ 5]. May: Year 6 (St. Petersburg, 1875) contains the memories of P. M. Daragan when he was the first camera-a page of the Grand Duchess (the future empress) Alexandra.
Muravyov-Amursky Nicholai Nikolaevich (1809-1881), Adjutant General. In 1846, he was appointed at the position of military governor of Tula and the Tula civil governor, from 1847 to 1861 - the Governor-General of Eastern Siberia.
The work of Muravyov in the final stage of the Caucasian war reflected in the essay of General I. S. Kravtsov Caucasus and his generals N. N. Muravyov, Prince A. I. Baryatinsky and N. I. Evdokimov, 1854-1864 (St. Petersburg, 1886).
More detailed life story of statesman is covered in the two-volume edition of "The Count Nikolai Nikolaevich Muravyov in his letters, official documents, contemporary stories and printed sources". Book 1, book 2. (Moscow, 1891). The second part of the book includes copies of the original documents from the period 1844-1861, taken from the archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Committee of Ministers’ the cases, the Department of Foreign Trade, the Siberian Committee and Archive of the Prince M. S. Volkonsky.
