Society and church: The XX All-Russian exhibition “Orthodox Church” in Saint-Petersburg
The XX All-Russian exhibition "Orthodox Russia" is held on October 9-13, 2014 in St. Petersburg, in the exhibition center "LENEXPO".
The annual exhibition "Orthodox Russia" is part of the Church and Society Exhibition-Forum "Orthodox Russia", which mission - to unite the efforts of the Russian Orthodox Church, the secular authorities and the public to preserve and promote traditional cultural values of national culture, art and morality. Forum events are organized at the federal, regional and international levels. In St. Petersburg are held two events of the forum - the exhibition "Orthodox Russia" and fair "Easter Holiday".
In 2014, the exhibition "Orthodox Russia" is dedicated to the 700th anniversary of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
The exhibition has a truly all-Russian scale. It brings together more than 200 secular and religious organizations from all over Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Greece, Montenegro, Georgia, Moldova. The exposition also features monasteries and cells of Mount Athos, Russian monasteries of the Holy Land. The exhibition presents the diocese, churches and monasteries, schools, publishing houses, pilgrim service, non-governmental organizations and foundations, artistic workshops, restorers, painters and craftsmen.
An integral part of the exhibition is a diverse business program as part of which are held presentations of projects, "round tables", conversations, meetings with representatives of the city administration, public and charitable organizations, as well as publishers, directors, teachers, psychologists.
