Internet and history: Electronic library of the Tambov region to present virtual copy of a unique edition “Letters from the Front”

To the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library has prepared a reprint of the book "Letters from the Front". Unique publication, preserved in a single copy, was signed in print on February 23, 1943 and published in the printing of the publishing house "Tambov truth" edition of 225 copies. The book contains documents - letters indicating the indissoluble unity of the front and rear. The letters told of the exploits of fighters in the struggle against the German invaders at the front and in the rear.

The website "Electronic Library of the Tambov region" placed an electronic version of the publication.

The republication is supplemented with an introduction and reference aids: names and geographical indications, as well as a pointer to institutions and organizations. Index contains about 1,000 names. All names, initials, military ranks, names of settlements and organizations are listed in pointers as it was published in the edition of 1943.
