Memorable dates of Russia: The exhibition “Foreign editions of works by Dostoevsky” to the writer’s Day of Memory in Staraya Russa

February 9, 2017 the F. M. Dostoevsky House-Museum of in Staraya Russa, the branch of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve, holds the traditional Day of Memory of the writer.

The funeral service will be held at George's Church, then at the monument to Fyodor Dostoevsky will be held a meeting in which the museum staff, representatives of the city administration will take part, as well as teachers and students of old Russian schools. As always, this day will be said good words in memory of one of the most brilliant creators of Russian literature, the great purpose of his work.

The Program in Science and cultural center of the Fyodor Dostoyevsky House-Museum will be continued by literary living-room. Day of Memory will be finished with watching the documentary "Dostoevsky. After wandering" (2016).

Also February 9 at the Fyodor Dostoevsky House-Museum will start working an exhibition "Foreign editions of Dostoevsky's works" from the museum. Visitors will see the publication of translations of contemporary novels, Dostoevsky's stories into 28 languages of the world. They include Arabic, English, German, French, Spanish, Czech, Slovak, Romanian, Hungarian, Swedish, Polish, Japanese, and Korean languages of the USSR. The exhibition will run until the end of May.
