Internet and society: Children's books of the XIX century are posted on the Web

Specialists of the Library of Historical Children's Literature at the University of Florida (the USA) digitized and posted in free access more than six thousand old children's books.

Among the publications that can be found on the website there are "Travel and Adventures of Captain Hatteras" by Jules Verne, "Pinocchio" with famous illustrations by Frederic Richardson, British children's poems, "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe (on the library's website you can see more than ten different publications This novel), "Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" and much more.

Books can be viewed in alphabetical order, but can be sorted by the release date, languages, themes and even publishing houses of those times.
