Society and reading: Within the framework of the Moscow International Book Fair, the Festival of National Literatures of the Peoples of Russia is taking place

The exhibition will celebrate its twentieth anniversary: ​​it will be the thirtieth anniversary and will mark the fortieth anniversary of the first forum, since for some time the fair was held every two years.

This time the participants and guests of the fair will speak in the languages ​​of the peoples of Russia: within the framework of the forum there will be a Festival of National Literatures of the Peoples of Russia. Anthology of children's literature of the peoples of Russia will be presented within the framework of the festival. Here the Russian State Children's Library will present its project "Hello, neighbor!": Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, where they will talk about the culture, language, literature, traditions and customs of these peoples.

Traditionally, the first day of the forum will end with a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the National Contest "Book of the Year." According to the organizers, this year more than 250 publishers have submitted applications for the contest. Laureates will be announced on September 6 in the musical theater "Helikon-Opera".
