Information technologies and archives: Inventories of Funds of the State Archives of the Republic of Crimea to be digitized

ELAR Corporation will digitize the inventory records of the funds of the State Archive of the Republic of Crimea and implement an automated information system in the institution. The company won in the relevant competitions, and will fulfill its obligations under the contracts before the end of this year.

The digitization of inventories of the funds of the State Archive of the Republic of Crimea is carried out with the aim of ensuring the safety of the scientific and reference apparatus, as well as improving the mechanisms for access of users and staff of the institution to information on documents. ELAR will scan 32,000 pages of inventories, will index and create 140,000 records of the database containing the headings of the files for upload to the archive information systems.

ELAR will also introduce in the state archive a software product of its own design AIS ELAR-Archive. The platform serves to automate the acquisition, accounting, storage and use of documents of the Archive Fund of the Russian Federation.
