Cultural events in Russia and abroad
The Tosno Historical Regional Museum (Leningrad Region) presents two travelling exhibitions from the Novgorod Museum-Reserve. “Songs and Fairy Tales in Russian Popular Print” showcases about 20 lubok prints from the Novgorod Museum’s collection. Over 20 items from the porcelain collection of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve are on display as part of another exhibition - “Porcelain Figurines of Russian Private Factories”.
On March 5, 2019 the Russian Academy of Fine Arts and A. Kasteyev Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan are presenting an exhibition “Generation of the Sixties. Turkic Romanticism”. The exposition in the Tsereteli Art Gallery (Moscow) showcases over 50 works of painting, graphic arts and sculpture. These are the works of artists of the 1960s from the museum’s collection (Almaty, Kazakhstan).
An outdoor photo exhibition “Magic of Stage. Performances of Moscow Theatres in 20th century” timed to the Year of Theater in Russia kicked off in front of the building of the Moscow Main Archive Directorate (Glavarkhiv). It showcases the collection of pictures taken during the performances of the leading Moscow theaters in the second half of the 20th century: the Maly Theater and the M. Gorky Moscow Art Theater, the Vakhtangov State Academic Theater and the Mossovet State Academic Theater, the Moscow Academic Theater of Satire and others.
