Flag of Sakhalin Region is the official symbol of the state -. Administrative status of the Sakhalin area as a full subject of the Russian Federation. Sakhalin flag field represents a rectangular panel aqua (blue with emerald green tint); in the central part of the panel are the outline images of Sakhalin and the Kurile Islands of white color forming a single Sakhalin region. Images of the island of Sakhalin and the islands of the Kuril archipelago are located in the center of the panel, forming an angle of 45 degrees. The upper and lower contours of the islands are on the same line, at a distance of one eighth of the upper and lower edge of the width of the flag.
