Alexander Petrovich Kulakov (1889-1948) - bibliographer. During his work in the Leningrad Central Library he compiled various methodological and recommendatory bibliographic manuals. One of the authors of the "Index of articles and reviews on Russian and translated fiction for 1928" (co-authored with BD Vekker (L., 1929) .It was an associate professor of the Leningrad Communist Political and Educational Institute named after NK Krupskaya , from 1938-1939 academic year he taught disciplines: general bibliographic source study, general bibliography.In February 1939 he defended his first candidate's thesis in the Institute "Library Science and Bibliography." The author of the first textbooks published by the Institute ("The General Bible Graphic source study. "L., 1939.) Participated in the organization of an independent department of bibliography in 1940.
