Photo by Aleksey Fedorovich Belogolovtsev (1919-1982) - Candidate of Historical Sciences, writer. During the Great Patriotic War, Alexei Fyodorovich fought in the Navy aboard the MO-228 sea hunter of the 2nd division of the VBBO patrol boats of the Ladoga military flotilla. For service in battle, he was awarded the Order of the Battle Red Banner. Having demobilized from the ranks of the Navy, Alexey Fyodorovich Belogolovtsev graduated from the law faculty of the Leningrad State University named after A. A. Zhdanov, defended his thesis for the title of candidate of historical sciences. Since 1952, A. F. Belogolovtsev worked as the chief librarian and head of the department of the Library of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. In 1962, he was appointed director of the Scientific Library of the USSR Academy of Arts. Since 1971, he served as vice-rector for the correspondence and evening departments of the Leningrad State Institute of Culture. N. K. Krupskaya.
