Nikolai Petrovich Skrypnev headed the Leningrad State Library Institute. N. K. Krupskaya from 1955 to 1971. The period of rector N. N. Skrypnev is connected with the restructuring of the concept, the content of education, the change in the structure of the institute. The university has become multifunctional: the development of the library faculty, the revival of the faculty of cultural and educational work and art specializations, the organization of new departments.
