The film was shot on the 100th anniversary of the famous Leningrad musician Georgy Anatolyevich Doniyakh (1914-1976). He was the principal conductor of the Leningrad Academic Maly Opera and Ballet Theater (1950-1959), artistic director and principal conductor of the famous St. Andrew Orchestra (1959-1971) and the Leningrad Theater of Musical Comedy (1971-1976). During his career, Donia staged and conducted almost one hundred operas and ballet performances, and at the same time enjoyed working with the radio and television orchestra, performing popular songs in which the voices of such famous singers as Konstantin Pluzhnikov, Edward Gil, Viktor Krivonos were heard for the first time , Lyudmila Senchina, Maria Pakhomenko. Towards the end of his career, George Donii became famous for having co-authored the first production of the Broadway musical in the USSR at the Leningrad Operetta Theater.
