Yuri Tolstoy was born on September 24, 1927 in Leningrad. Soviet and Russian lawyer, professor at the Faculty of Law, St. Petersburg State University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Author of more than 200 scientific papers, monographs, as well as several autobiographical books. On the anniversary of the outstanding lawyer Yuri Tolstoy, who celebrates the 90th anniversary on September 24, 2017, the Presidential Library made a film. It not only shows the life and professional way of one of the founders of modern Russian civil law, but also presents his thoughts on current topics.
