The name of the artist Yuri Bazhanov (1927-1949) belongs to forgotten names in art. For many years only a narrow circle of Leningrad collectors and artists knew about his life and work, his paintings and drawings were kept by his close friends. Portrait sketches, symbolic images, cityscapes, nature, self-portraits - the main themes of the artist, reflected in the paintings, sketches and sketches. In 1943, Yuri Bazhanov entered the first year of art school in Leningrad to become a theater artist. Along with the pencil drawings of Yuri Bazhanov, two watercolors of his friend, later theater artist, Igor Martynov (1927-1972), were included in the compilation - they depict harsh everyday life, combat calculations, fires.
