Maksimov Konstantin Matveyevich (1915-1943) - engineer-lieutenant commander of the submarine Shch-406. He graduated from the diesel faculty of the Higher Naval Engineering School named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky in 1939, was sent to the submarine forces of the Red Banner Baltic Fleet. Since the beginning of World War II served as the commander of the warhead-5 on the submarine Shch-406. For the successful execution of combat missions, the command was awarded the Order of Lenin (08/15/1942), for courage and dedication he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War, I degree (November 10, 1942). When performing a combat mission on June 1, 1943, the crew of the submarine Shch-406 was killed when the boat was undermined in a German minefield. .
