The photographs show the memorial complex "Defenders of the Soviet Arctic in the years of the Great Patriotic War" in Murmansk. The complex is located on the hill of the Green Cape, which towers over the city and the Kola Bay by 173 meters. The project was designed by architect IA Pokrovsky and sculptor ID Brodsky. The opening of the memorial took place on October 19, 1974 - in honor of the 30th anniversary of the defeat of the German fascist troops in the Arctic .
