Nizhny Novgorod is an international football stadium , built to host the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia. Nizhny Novgorod is included in the list of 11 cities that host World Cup matches. The stadium is located in the Strelka area - the confluence of two rivers Oka and Volga. The architectural concept of the stadium is a three-faceted colonnade on the whole circumference of the building with illumination, decorated in a single color scheme of blue and white colors. It closely interwines with the subjects of the Volga nature - water and wind, and the location near the historic quarters dictated the building restraint and rigor of the silhouette.
