The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Prague presented the program "Journey to the Country of the ABC" for Czech students

In Prague, in the school "On Balabentse" the schoolchildren were presented initial program of studying the Russian language "Journey to the Country of the ABC".

A special lesson was prepared and conducted by the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Prague at the invitation of the teachers of the Russian language school. Thirty five pupils of the sixth grades took part in it, who are faced with the choice of which second language they will study the next academic year.

The lesson was opened with a multimedia presentation "Interesting facts about Russia". While watching the guys were able to make a virtual journey through Russian expanses, in an entertaining way they got familiar with the geography of Russia, the vivid facts of Russian history and culture, and also learned about the role of the Russian language as a language of interethnic and international communication.

Then the head of the Russian language courses at RCSC Lyudmila Nyklova conducted a lesson "Journey to the country of the ABC. Russian language in 60 minutes". The methodology of the express course for beginners to learn Russian from scratch allowed the children to get familiar with the Russian alphabet in a playful way, to get the first reading and writing skills, and to learn simple phrases in Russian.

In conclusion, Lyudmila Nyklova told schoolchildren about the work of the RCSC in Prague and the events held there to support the study of the Russian language, invited teachers of the school to visit the center with their students.

It included manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian writing, archival affairs, scientific works (including dissertations and thesis), dictionaries and reference books, teaching aids. The digital collection "Russian language" will be cognitive not only to the scientific and educational community and linguists, but also to a wide range of users who love and appreciate the Russian language.
