Launching of the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library in the Uporov district of Tyumen Region

September 9, 2018 the launch of the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library was held in Uporov secondary school. The renovated library hall of the institution is equipped with 22 working places, which allows giving lessons in a new format.

On the opening day, the first lesson was held in the hall with the participation of second-graders and pupils of 7-9 grades. The students of the middle classes got familiar with the digitized issues of the Tyumen newspapers of 1941, which showed how the life of the homeland and the Uporov district has changed dramatically with the outbreak of the war, and the second graders visited a virtual tour around the Kremlin, examining the Children's website of the President of Russia.

At the opening of the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library in the Uporov school, the head of the district indicated the intention to create a remote access center that will be equipped with a multifunctional multimedia infrastructure that will further expand the opportunities for holding social and humanitarian classes.

On the website of the Presidential Library the region is represented by the collection "Tyumen Region: Pages of History". The proposed selection includes studies, statistical materials, archive documents, visual and audio materials reflecting the socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of Tyumen Region of the XVI-XX centuries, materials on the history of Tyumen and Tobolsk, as well as the current Charter of the region.
