Photo exhibition “Protected Nature of Russia” launched in Baku

The Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku opened “Protected Nature of Russia” photo exhibition, provided by Rosconcert Federal Directorate of Music and Festival Programs as a part of “Cross-Cultural Exchange between Russia and Azerbaijan” project. On display are photographs of wonderful northern nature, made in Murmansk Region.

The first to attend the exhibition were participants of the seminar of Azerbaijan and Russian journalists, currently underway in the Russian Information and Cultural Center. Alexander Kalamin, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo office in the Republic of Azerbaijan, greeted the attendees.

The exhibition opening ceremony featured the performance of T. Dokschitzer New Life Brass ensemble (Moscow), which had arrived in Baku to take part in 10th International Music Festival, dedicated to Uzeyir Hajibeyov at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The portal of the Presidential Library provides access to “Natural Wealth of Russia” electronic collection. It features materials on the history of discovery, exploration, exploitation and protection of natural wealth of Russia. A special section spotlights the history of natural reserves, wildlife sanctuaries and other protected areas. What is more, Red Data Books of all constituent entities of the Russian Federation are available in the “Flora and Fauna” section.
