Patriotic action "Lets we forget, nothing is forgotten" held in Brest

Within the patriotic action “Lets we forget, nothing is forgotten” dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, with the support of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brest from October 5 to October 7, a march to places of military glory took place: Malorita - Karpin - Chalk Mountain. The organizer of the march on the battlefields of the 75th rifle division in June 1941 was the Youth Patriotic Center of Brest.

In 2016–2018, the remains of six soldiers of the 75th Infantry Division were discovered by search engines of the center. The estimated number of soldiers in unaccounted military graves is about two thousand people. According to the results of the work carried out in the campaign, an information sheet was drawn up for submission to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Belarus.

On October 8, the head of the RCSC, Julia Semenchenko, took part in the opening of the first part of the project “Camp of Skill”, organized by the public organization of the Moscow region “Parent's Assembly” and the Youth Patriotic Center of Brest. The program of the project “Storm” will be held directly in the Brest Fortress on the basis of the Youth Patriotic Center. The children will plunge into the cycle of events of a fascinating historical adventure, where they will have to solve many reconnaissance tasks, undergo special fire, educational and tactical training in the catacombs of the Brest Fortress, visit all of its military-historical museums and many defenses. The objectives of the project are aimed at the patriotic education of the younger generation.

The Presidential Library portal features the collection “The Memory of the Great Victory”, which includes official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, propaganda articles, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies of combatants and workers home front, their personal documents, images of military and labor awards, monuments and memorial complexes.
