Opening of the 16th All-Russian School of Library Innovation in Belgorod Region

On October 8, 2018 the opening of the 16th All-Russian School of Library Innovation, a branded educational project held since 2002 by the Department of Culture of Belgorod Region and the Universal Research Library took place in the universal reading room of the Belgorod State Universal Research Library.

For 16 years of school work, library specialists from 50 regions of Russia took part in it. This year, librarians from 12 Russian subjects have become students.

This year’s key topic is “Project activities of libraries as a factor in the development of the social and cultural cluster of the territory”. The business program includes an analytical platform “Library and civil society”, a discussion platform “National project “Kultura”, or How to integrate the interests of libraries into it?”, a working platform “Library projects: from A to Z”. As part of school’s education activities, a visit to the municipal libraries of the region will be held.

On the website of the Presidential Library Belgorod Region is represented by the Belgorod Region: Pages of History collection. The collection includes research, archive documents, photographs, postcards, maps and plans that reveal the geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of Belgorod Region of the XVII – XX centuries.
