The Presidential Library has signed agreements with major museums of Russia

The Presidential Library has agreed on close cooperation with a number of major museums in Russia. The ceremony of signing agreements took place in the building on Senate Square, 3, in the framework of the VII St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum. The Pushkin All-Russian Museum (St. Petersburg), the Suvorov State Memorial Museum (St. Petersburg), the Pushkin State Museum (Moscow) and the Novgorod State United Museum-Reserve (Veliky Novgorod) have become the official partners of the library. Organizations were represented by their leaders.

Among the main goals of teamwork are the exchange of experience, the development of national and world culture, science and education, the promotion of the historical heritage of our country, as well as the formation of a nationwide electronic repository of copies of the most important materials on the history, theory and practice of Russian statehood, and strengthening of patriotism among young people.

Speaking to the audience, the Acting Director General of the Presidential Library Valentin Sidorin, stressed that the decision to sign agreements was unanimous, and the organization of the event was carried out unprecedentedly quickly: “This means that the Presidential Library and all our friends who have gathered here today understand each other well. We see the results of joint work, creativity and are ready to move forward. We have the opportunity to develop cooperation aimed at the benefit of our visitors, readers, listeners and participants of numerous events, for the benefit of Russia and its positioning as a state with rich cultural traditions, rich past and confident future”.

The parties also outlined a plan for joint preparation for several significant dates to be celebrated in the coming years - for example, the 290th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian commander A.V. Suvorov (2019) and the 200th anniversary of the famous writer N. A. Nekrasov (2021).
