Performance “Turgenev. Today!”, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the writer, held in Astana

The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Astana organized for students and teachers of the Kazakhstan branch of the Lomonosov Moscow State University a video version of the performance "Turgenev. Today!". This production is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the outstanding Russian writer.

Before viewing the deputy director of the branch of the Moscow State University, Candidate of Philological Sciences Tamara Kotlyarova told about the main milestones in the life and work of the great master of the Russian word.

Professor Tatyana Krivoshchapova, Doctor of Philological Sciences, introduced students to the interesting and little-known biography of I. S. Turgenev, and Alexey Koropchenko, Counselor at the Russian Embassy in Kazakhstan, shared his impressions of the writer's work and visiting Turgenev's sites of memory.

The Presidential Library portal provides access to the electronic collection “I. S. Turgenev (1818–1883)”. The collection dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Russian literature, prose writer, poet, playwright, translator and publicist, includes digital copies of books, articles from periodicals, archival documents and visual materials about the life and work of the writer.
