Webinar dedicated to Pushkin’s Memorial Day was held at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulan Bator

Employees of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulan Bator, as well as representatives of educational institutions, on the basis of which branches of the Russian Language Center at the RCSC were opened, took part in the conference and webinar  dedicated to the memory of Alexander Pushkin organized by the Presidential Library.

A book-illustrative exhibition “Alexander Pushkin’s Memorial Day” in the library of the RCSC for students of the Russian language courses and Russian was launched.

The duel between Alexander Pushkin and George Dantes took place on February 8, 1837 on the outskirts of St. Petersburg, in the area of ​​the Black River near the Commandant's cottage. The poet was fatally wounded.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the electronic collection “Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837)”. It includes digital copies of books, articles, archival documents, dissertation abstracts, video films, graphic and other materials devoted to the poet’s life and work in preserving the memory of him. A digital copy of the Diploma granted by Emperor Alexander I to the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, where Pushkin studied, is among the materials of the collection.
