
Young scientists of the North-West held a conference at the Presidential Library
The Presidential Library hosted the inauguration conference of the representative office of the International Union of Young Scientists in the North-West Federal District. Senate Square, 3 gathered young scientists from higher educational institutions of the region and representatives of the business community.
As noted, the initiative to create and develop a representative office of the International Union of Young Scientists in the North-West Federal District is very important for our institution, since the goal of the union is to support young scientists and "create an open system of interaction between intellectual youth from different countries". The Presidential Library also strives to be an important part of the intellectual infrastructure, providing its electronic collections for all users around the world.
Chairman of the meeting, member of the Presidium of the International Union of Young Scientists, Chairman of the Young Scientists Council of the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory Mikhail Chernigovsky reminded that the idea of creating the International Union of Young Scientists was first voiced by the Rector of Moscow University Academician Viktor Sadovnichy at the XIX World the festival of youth and students in 2017. The basis for creating a new open international platform was the International Youth Scientific Forum "Lomonosov" - a unique platform for communication between scientists from different countries. On January 25, 2018, on the Day of Russian Students, President of Russia Vladimir Putin supported the initiative in the course of a teleconference with students from leading universities in the country.
The International Union of Young Scientists is aimed to provide support for young scientists (students, postgraduates and researchers) under the age of 40 throughout the world. The main objectives of the International Union of Young Scientists are the establishment and development of an open system of interaction of intellectual youth from different countries of the world, ensuring communication of young scientists from different countries, launching and developing an information system, creating distributed project teams to solve actual scientific and social problems, as well as creating teams for startups and innovation projects.
The foundation for the development of the union is provided by the Moscow State University, and representation of the union in the North-West Federal District is provided by the N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory.
