On May 8, 2019 the Lermontov Penza Regional Library, on the basis of which the regional center of the Presidential Library operates, hosted a practice-oriented “Roads of Victories” event for upper-school pupils of secondary school № 56.

The center staff introduced the children to the content of the electronic library prlib.ru, paid special attention to the collection “Memory of the Great Victory”, which contains testimonies of the participants of the Great Patriotic War and responses to the war of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, research papers and archival documents, photographs and newsreels of wartime media articles and others.

So, from the book “To You, the Front!” of 1943, pupils learned that during the war years, in the framework of the patriotic movement, workers of Penza Region organized a fundraiser for the construction of airplanes and tanks for the Red Army.

From the book by V. I. Pryanishnikov “To help a scout” the guys found answers to the questions of how to navigate the terrain, how to determine time and distance without special devices, how to neutralize mines.

The Presidential Library’s portal features collection “Penza Region: Pages of History”. It includes archival documents, essays, studies and statistical materials covering demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region of the late 18th - first third of the 20th century. The current Charter of Penza Region is provided.
