Advanced training courses for teachers of Russian as a foreign language in the capital of Argentina supported by the Moscow Government at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Buenos Aires are underway. Classes are held by representatives of the Department of Russian and other Slavic languages of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Argentina focuses on preservation and promotion of the Russian language. For many years, Russian language courses have been opened at the RCSC. The representative office works closely with Argentinean universities and centers for the study of foreign languages, provides them with educational and methodological support, prepares various events and holds advanced training courses.

Experts note that literary works and other materials in the language studied plays an important role in the educational process. Such documents, book editions, manuscripts are available in the electronic collections of the Presidential Library dedicated to prominent writers and poets of Russia: “Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837)”, “Mikhail Lermontov (1814–1841)”, “Fyodor Dostoevsky (1821–1881)”, “Leo Tolstoy (1828–1910)”, “Vladimir Mayakovski (1893–1930)” and others.

They are also available in remote access centers running throughout the world. Currently, the possibility of opening such centers in South America, including the RCSC in the capital of Argentina, is being considered.
