The Presidential Library at the XII Tyumen Digital Forum and Exhibition INFOTECH-2019

The XII Tyumen Digital Forum and the exhibition INFOTECH-2019 were held at the “West Siberian Innovation Center” (Tyumen Technopark) on November 13-14, 2019.

The Presidential Library took part in the event and presented its stand at which anyone got information about the activities of the Presidential Library, its capabilities and projects. Also, guests of the exhibition could take advantage of access to the Internet portal and the remote electronic reading room of the library.

The exhibition stand was visited by an official delegation led by the Governor of Tyumen Region, Alexander Viktorovich Moor. Director of the Tyumen branch of the Presidential Library Oleg Shor spoke about the achievements over the 10 years of the Presidential Library, as well as the results of the branch in Tyumen Region and outlined the future directions of the organization.

On November 14, the Tyumen branch organized the workshop-meeting “The Presidential Library - Russia's First Electronic National Library: 10 Years of Development”. The event was attended by representatives of the fields of education and culture, as well as invited guests.

The workshop began with a welcoming speech by Dmitry Kuzmenko, the chief federal inspector for Tyumen Region; Alexander Novopashin, adviser to the governor of Tyumen Region, spoke on behalf of the governor of Tyumen Region. The participants of the event were greeted remotely via video-conferencing mode by Deputy Chairman of the Tyumen Regional Duma Viktor Rein, General Director of the Presidential Library Ilya Bykovnikov and Teacher of the Year of Russia 2017 Ilya Sergeyevich Demakov.

The event focused on the practical use of the resources of the Presidential Library, technological solutions for the formation of digital collections, as well as cooperation and implementation of educational projects. At the workshop-meeting the reports were made by Olga Roitblat - Rector of the Tyumen Regional State Institute for the Development of Regional Education, Andrei Stepanov - Commissioner for Children's Rights in Tyumen Region, Olga Preobrazhenskaya - Chief Technologist of the Presidential Library, Nina Krivolapova - First Vice-Rector - Vice-Rector on science and innovation of the Institute for the Development of Education and Social Technologies. Also, invited speakers of the fields of education and culture of Tyumen, Sverdlovsk and Kurgan Regions in their speeches shared their experience of using the resources of the first national electronic library in the educational process and the implementation of its capabilities on the basis of their institutions, and also talked about participation in projects of the Tyumen branch.

At the INFOTECH-2019 forum and exhibition, the Presidential Library showed the results of its achievements over 10 years of its activity, as well as outlined new ways and opportunities for further development in the information and educational environment.
