Victory Roads Project held in Budapest

February 13, 2020, a commemoration event was held in the capital of Hungary, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Budapest from Nazi invaders - a trip to the places of military glory of Soviet soldiers and a historical lecture on the liberation of the city.

The commemoration event in Budapest is part of the international project of Rossotrudnichestvo and the Russian Military Historical Society Victory Roads. On the scale of this historical and educational operation, events were organized in six European cities: Belgrade, Warsaw, Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, for the liberation of which military medals were instituted.

Within the framework of Victory Roads International project a comprehensive event in Budapest was held for compatriots and all who are not indifferent to the history of World War II.

According to the organizers of the event, such projects contribute to the preservation of historical memory, as well as counteract attempts to falsify the liberation mission of the Red Army.

The visitors of the RCSC were offered a thematic photo exhibition dedicated to the date of the liberation of Budapest from the Nazis.

The center of remote access to information resources of the Presidential Library in Budapest, which has been opened at the RCSC since 2013, provides gusts with the materials of the Memory of the Great Victory electronic collection. It includes official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, publications of a propaganda nature, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies of participants in military battles and rear workers, their personal documents and much more.
