The Presidential Library provides remote learning of multimedia lessons

The Presidential Library encourages everyone to stay at home and offers teachers, students and their parents a selection of fascinating multimedia lessons available on the prlib.ru portal.

In the course of the lessons one will be able to analyze historical sources and scientific literature, learn about rare documents from different epochs.

Multimedia lessons include virtual exhibitions, 3D tours, educational films, materials from the electronic library of the Presidential Library, quizzes and tests.

One of the multimedia lessons is the Constitution lesson. A video tour of an exhibition dedicated to the history of the Constitution will help to form an idea of ​​the role of the fundamental law in the history of Russian statehood; a copy of the inaugural copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and signature sheets with autographs of the presidents of Russia, presented in the collection “The Constitution is the Basic Law”; 3D tour of the Constitution Hall; informational and educational website of the Presidential Library "Gosudaika" and the electronic museum of the constitutional history of Russia. At the end of the lesson, students are invited to test their knowledge using electronic tests.

During the multimedia lesson “The fact and image of Russian history in the works of Russian writers”, you can get familiar with the historical facts of the era of the reign of Ivan the Terrible and the Time of Troubles, the formation and flourishing of the Russian Empire in the 18th century, the socio-economic and socio-political development of Russia in the 19th century, dramatic and heroic of the twentieth century. During the lesson, a video tour of the exhibition devoted to the artistic images of events and characters in the history of Russia created by the classics of Russian literature will be presented. At the end of the lesson, students are invited to test their knowledge and pass an electronic test.

The materials of the multimedia lesson “The ABC of the Young Voter” introduce educational film using the materials of the Presidential Library fund and with the participation of the election commission of the Leningrad Region. Based on the selected sources, it is possible to independently supplement your knowledge with the help of the electronic thematic collection of documents “The Electoral System in Russia: the Past and the Present”, available on the Presidential Library’s portal, which features official documents, archival materials, scientific works of the pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern periods . The multimedia lesson “Russkaya Pravda: the Law of Ancient Rus’” was prepared specifically for the millennium of Russkaya Pravda - the oldest monument to the law of Ancient Rus’. As part of the lesson, an educational film is offered, in the filming of which the leading Russian historians participated. You can also get familiar with other materials of the digital collections of the Presidential Library, among which a rare place is occupied by rare books: the work of the historian V. N. Tatishchev, containing the first mention of Russkaya Pravda, and the first publication of this monument of Old Russian law in 1767. At the end of the lesson, an electronic test is offered, during which high school students can test their knowledge and consolidate the material studied.

The multimedia lesson “1825: Reflections on the Fate of Russia” is dedicated to the dramatic events that took place on December 14, 1825 on Senate Square in St. Petersburg. Assessment of the performance of the Decembrists in historical literature has always been ambiguous. As part of the lesson, it is proposed that you familiarize yourself with the educational film, the creation of which was attended by the famous Russian Decembrist Y. A. The Presidential Library also offers a series of multimedia lessons “Science to Win”, dedicated to the 290th birthday of the great Russian commander, Generalissimo A. V. Suvorov (historians still argue about the year of his birth: 1729th or 1730th). The goal is to learn about the resources of the Presidential Library on the history of Russian statehood of the second half of the 18th century, where a special collection has been collected about A. V. Suvorov and his exploits. The selection contains digital copies of research, popular science publications, collections of documents and visual materials. The Presidential Library organized a multimedia lesson together with the A. V. Suvorov State Memorial Museum in St. Petersburg, which materials were prepared for an educational film about the great commander. In addition to familiarity with unique sources of information, another task is to expand knowledge about the famous Russian commanders, whose activities influenced not only the development of the Russian army, but also the fate of the country as a whole. The Presidential Library’s multimedia lessons are aimed at developing the younger generation of analytical thinking, the ability to summarize material and express their opinions, and are also called upon to promote the upbringing of moral qualities, love for the Fatherland and respect for the history of the native country.
