The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Minsk hosted a webinar timed to coincide with the 111th anniversary of the statesman, the legend of Soviet diplomacy Andrei Andreyevich Gromyko. From 1957 to 1985 he was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR, from 1985 to 1988 - the Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.

Summing up the results of the event, the speakers came to a common opinion on the necessity and importance of the implementation of joint Russian-Belarusian educational and enlightenment projects in terms of studying and preserving the common diplomatic heritage.

The Presidential Library’s electronic collection provide many official documents associated with the name of the diplomat, including a photograph of Andrei Gromyko signing the UN Charter as head of the USSR delegation at a conference in San Francisco in 1945, fragments of newsreels with his public speeches.

Only a part of the unique digitized materials is available on the Presidential Library’s portal and in the remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library located in different countries. One of them has been opened since 2010 at the RCSC in Minsk.
