The Presidential Library to become an information partner of the students' Olympiad "Infotelecom - 2021"

From March 25 to April 27, 2021, the Bonch-Bruevich St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications holds the students' Olympiad "Infotelecom - 2021". The Presidential Library is the information partner of the event.

The Olympiad aims to test the students' creative abilities and readiness for further professional activity in the field of information technology and telecommunications. It is a students' contest in the creative practice of knowledge and skills in the disciplines of higher educational institutions.

The contest invites fourth-year students of Russian telecommunications and technical universities to participate. It is intended for bachelors of faculties of information and communication technology, software and hardware computer systems and communication networks, radio engineering and control systems.

The Olympiad will be held remotely via the Google Meet platform. It is made up of two stages and features following disciplines:

 ̶  radio engineering systems, radio communication and radio access;

 ̶  mobile communication systems, digital TV and radio broadcasting;

 ̶  design and technology of radio-electronic means;

 ̶  Internet of things and heterogeneous networks;

 ̶  optoelectronic technology (photonics) in the information and communication technology;

 ̶  intelligent communication technologies;

 ̶  information technology in design;

 ̶  intelligent technologies in automation and digital control systems;

 ̶  microwave technology: materials, components, devices.

The qualifying stage runs from March 25 to April 15, 2021. Participants should fulfill tasks in disciplines of baccalaureate education programs relevant to the Olympiad program.

The final stage will take place on April 27, 2021. It includes a demonstration of practical skills and a presentation at the contest of scientific reports relevant to the Olympiad program.

According to the Infotelecom - 2021 rules, the participants who scored 10 points will receive the title of the winner. Students marked by industrial partners are awarded the title of laureate. Winners and laureates will receive diplomas and memorable presents.

Cooperation of the Presidential Library and the Bonch-Bruevich St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications has been actively developing since 2013 within the framework of the agreement. During this time, the institutions implemented several large projects like joint webinars, video lectures and Olympiads. The Bonch-Bruevich St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications and its branches opened remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library.

A separate clause of the cooperation agreement concerns students. They may do work experience of various levels at the Presidential Library.
