Painting exhibition "Friendship Forever" opened at the Russian House in Beijing

Painting exhibition by the Chinese artist Feng Yishu and Russian artist Alena Vasilyeva "Friendship Forever" was opened at the Russian House in Beijing on July 12, 2021. The exposition is timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between Russia and China.

Russian Ambassador to China Andrei Denisov emphasized in his speech that art fulfills an important mission in strengthening Russian-Chinese friendship and thanked the artists for their great contribution to the promotion of Russian culture in China.

The artist Feng Yishu presented to the audience his landscape works in the genre of gohua, dedicated to the long-term friendship of fraternal peoples.

Alena Vasilyeva prepared for the exhibition a series of works spotlighting the industrialization of China after World War II, a period when Soviet specialists actively helped in the construction of metallurgical and coal enterprises.

The artist's works are presented online.

The exhibition will run from July 12-22.

The gusts will have opportunity to learn about the history of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia. These documents are available at the Russian House library in Beijing, where a center of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library has been opened since 2010.
