An exhibition of archival documents "Kuzbass - Russia's Treasury" opened in the main library of Kuzbass

On September 14, 2021, the V. D. Fyodorov State Scientific Library of Kuzbass (V. D. Fyodorov State Scientific Library) hosted the opening of the historical and documentary exhibition "Kuzbass - Russia's Treasury", which presents archival documents from the archives of Kemerovo Region. It is another event in the festive program devoted to the 300th anniversary of Kuzbass, which is celebrated throughout 2021.

The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Kuzbass Archives Department Sergei Dobrydin, directors and specialists of Kuzbass archives and libraries, and readers.

During an event, the State Archives of Kuzbass and the State Scientific Library of Kuzbass signed a cooperation agreement. It is a new stage of joint work of two institutions on the creation of information resources about Kuzbass.

The State Archives of Kuzbass and the V. D. Fyodorov State Scientific Library are old partners who successfully implement joint projects and create digital resources presented on the websites of both institutions.

Together with the State Archives of Kuzbass, specialists of the Kemerovo Regional Centre of the Presidential Library, located at the V. D. Fyodorov State Scientific Library, prepared digital collections Industrialization of Kuzbass. 1910-1940: Ideas and Implementation and Coal Generals of Kuzbass, which became winners of the Presidential Library's contests Our Region: Selected Pages of History and Regions of Russia in Faces.

Materials about Kuzbass are included in the collection Kemerovo Region: Pages of History. It features many research works, statistical materials and archival documents of the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries, describing the administrative, socio-economic, demographic and ethnographic situation of the Mariinsky and Kuznetsk districts, which compose modern Kemerovo Region.
