
The Presidential Library presented a new electronic collection about Dmitry Ilovaisky at the forum in Ryazan
The presentation took place at the VIII interregional scientific and practical conference “Ryazan land: history, culture, society. Kasimov vector”, which took place at the site of the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library as part of the V International Forum of Ancient Cities “Dressed World”.
A new electronic collection dedicated to the outstanding native of Ryazan Region Dmitry Ilovaisky was presented by Nina Loginova, specialist of the exhibition department of the Presidential Library.
The collection has been formed to mark the 190th anniversary of the birth of the Russian historian. It includes materials about the life of Dmitry Ilovaisky, his scientific and publishing activities, as well as correspondence and photographs.
The conference participants also discussed archeology, ethnography and history of Ryazan Region. It was about the cultural development and achievements of prominent figures of the region.
It should be noted that the holding of the V International Forum of Ancient Cities "Dressed World" was timed to coincide with the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia.
The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Ryazan Region: Pages of History. It includes archive documents, studies, essays, audio and video recordings, statistical, reference, cartographic, visual and other materials covering various aspects of the region's development from the moment of formation to the present day.
