The Presidential Library develops cooperation with cultural and educational institutions of Primorye Terrtiory

September 7-8, 2022, within the framework of the VII Eastern Economic Forum, the Presidential Library signed several cooperation agreements at once.

The agreement with the Ministry of Culture and Archival Affairs of Primorye Territory on September 7 was signed by Acting Director General of the Presidential Library Yuri Nosov and Deputy Prime Minister of Primorye Territory - Minister of Culture and Archival Affairs of Primorye Territory Elena Bronnikova. The document provides for the development of a network of remote access centers of the Presidential Library in the Primorye Territory, including the Regional Center based on the Gorky Primorye Regional Public Library. This will provide access to electronic copies of documents on the history of Russian statehood. An important direction is also the organization and holding of joint scientific, educational and cultural events for the residents of Primorye Territory, and primarily for young people.

On the same day, cooperation agreements were signed with 5 model libraries of Primorye Territory. These are the branch library № 5 of the Centralized Library System of the Artyomovsky City District, the Green World Library Complex of the Central Library System of the Nakhodka City District, the Central City Library of the Centralized Library System of the Dalnegorsk City District, the Central City Library of the Centralized Library System of the Partizansky City District, the Central Children's Library of the Centralized library system of the urban district ZATO Fokino. Based on these libraries, remote access centers to the resources of the Presidential Library will be open.

Today 7 model libraries are opened in Primorye Territory. Based on two of them located in Vladivostok and Arseniev electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library are already available. Thus, with the opening of five more UECHZs, readers of all model libraries of Primorye Territory will be able to get full access to the institution's collections, which involve more than a million depository items, as well as to attend conferences, webinars, video lectures and other events of the Presidential Library.

On September 8, an agreement on cooperation between the Presidential Library and the Ministry of Education of Primorye Territory was signed. The agreement was signed by Acting Director General of the Library Yury Nosov and Deputy Chairman of the Government of Primorye Territory - Minister of Education of Primorye Territory Elvira Shamonova. As part of the agreement, it is planned to create and develop centers for remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library on the basis of educational and scientific institutions of the Primorye Territory. It is also planned to implement projects aimed at drawing attention to documents on the history of Russia and the Russian language among students and employees of educational organizations, creating conditions for the moral and patriotic education of the younger generation, and realizing the professional opportunities of young people.

Also on September 8, a cooperation agreement will be signed with the Primorye Regional Institute for the Development of Education, a remote access center to the resources of the Presidential Library will be opened and a workshop “The Potential of Information Resources of the Presidential Library” will be held for specialists in the educational and cultural system of Primorye Territory.

Sergey Grinevich, head of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, attended all the events.

Especially for the VII Eastern Economic Forum, the Presidential Library has formed a new comprehensive electronic collection Far East: Point of Attraction. It includes more than 1,500 materials that spotlight the history, economy, science, culture of the region and reveal the role of the region in the international political system.
