20 September 2022

On September 17-18, 2022 at the book exhibition in the center of the Mongolian capital, the Russian House in Ulaanbaatar presented modern publications in Russian.

The exposition also showcased the library of the Russian House: visitors had an opportunity to see an exhibition of books and receive a library card. According to the organizers, stand “Take me to read” was especially popular – there, guests could borrow books for their own personal collections.

Centre of remote access to the Presidential Library’s information resources, opened in 2015 and based on the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Ulaanbaatar, allows guests of the Russian House to explore diverse collections of the library’s electronic holdings. In 2018, centre of remote access was also opened in the Mongolian State University of Education.

Visitors to the Russian House will find the collection Russian Language from the Presidential Library’s electronic holdings especially interesting. It features over 1,100 depositary items: rare archival documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian literature, research papers, dictionaries, reference books, teaching aids and others.

Guests of the Russian House also have an opportunity to study materials on Russia-Mongolia relations, featured in the Presidential Library’s electronic collection Russia – Mongolia: from the history of relations.
