Ryazan schoolchildren learned about the events of the Patriotic War of 1812

On December 6–7, 2022 employees of the Ryazan Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on of the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library held history classes for students of secondary school № 6.

The events were held as part of the series of meetings "For Children about Russia" and were dedicated to the 210th anniversary of victory in the Patriotic War of 1812. In the classroom, the children learned more about the events of those years. Schoolchildren were told about the courage, heroism and feats of arms of our ancestors.

At the end of the events the children handed over postcards to the ROUNB for sending to servicemen - participants in the special military operation.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Patriotic War of 1812 which involves more than 800 depository items. It includes archival documents, cartographic, audiovisual and other materials from the institution’s electronic collections.
